My Story





Hey friends! I'm Elyse Valdes, a NASM Certified Personal Trainer  and Performance Enhancement Specialist with a deep love for fitness + adventure. Born and raised in Miami, I was able to develop a lifestyle that centers around constant activity and adventure. The joy that I experience from being outdoors while breaking a sweat led me to start an adventurous workout program that will create that same feeling for you all. And so that's how "Fitventures" was born! It's a combination of two essential components of my life: fitness + adventure.


I was very lucky to grow up alongside cousins who were as thrill-seeking as I was. Some days we'd swim + pretend to be dolphins and other days we'd ride our bikes for hours. Overall, the outdoors raised me and taught me true compassion-- for myself, for others, and for our planet.


It was a culmination of all these moments that sparked my love for fitness. It led me to participate in a variety of team sports such as track, pole vaulting, and cheer throughout high school. I have now translated many of the techniques I was taught in these sports, into my present day training style. 


Through Fitventures, I hope to inspire YOU to feel strong and confident from the inside out.  I hope to use all that I’ve learned (+ continue to learn) along my journey to help you grow into the best version of yourself. Together, along this Fitventure, we will redefine "healthy" as a joy-provoking lifelong adventure!

Active Lifestyle


If I’m being completely honest, it’s hard for me to say exactly “what I do.” My fitness routine is a combination of all the things that I enjoy. My work out of the day usually depends on how my body is feeling, what I feel like doing at the moment, what I trained the day before, how much time I have, or how the weather is. Switching things up makes my workouts challenging and spontaneous. It gives me something new to look forward to every day. 


My training sessions are about an hour-long and are usually done in the mornings because it sets the tone for the rest of the day. It’s my “me-time” to work on myself both physically and mentally. I usually train five times a week and rest for two because rest and recovery are essential for promoting muscle repair and growth. My training regime is pretty flexible (+ yours can be too!). I generally alternate from bodyweight exercises, HIIT-High Intensity Interval Training, Weight Training circuits, boxing, and running. I even enjoy combing it all in one. I love doing almost anything that gets my heart pumping and sweat dripping.

Nothing beats that satisfying feeling after crushing an intense workout.


Where Fitness Meets Fun

As a travel enthusiast, I am a big fan of workouts that can be done anytime, anywhere. When I am in a new place, I love to soak up all that’s around me and explore my surroundings. There’s nothing more satisfying than discovering nature’s beauty by foot. If there’s a beach, you’ll probably find me running on it. If there’s a nature trail, I’ll definitely be hiking it. My definition of true happiness is chasing simple moments alongside the people I love all while enjoying earth's greatest natural gifts: the ocean, the grass, the sun.


You can pretty much always find me in a bikini or workout gear.

At the end of the day, it’s all about moving your body and finding what excites and works best for you. Once you find something you love, you’ll actually look forward to it every day!

It was my mom who taught me the true meaning of "health". She taught me that health and fitness aren't about a shape, but about a feeling. A feeling that comes with fueling your body with nutritious foods and cultivating energy through movement. I was 12 when I realized the difference that a balanced lifestyle can bring into a person's life and I haven't stopped moving since! Working out and eating healthy make me feel strong, powerful and filled with sparkling energy. I owe the positive lifestyle I live to my mom, and I am so excited to share this radiance with all of you!



To me, fitness is so much more than just hitting the gym and eating healthy. It’s an adventure that guides you to become the best version of yourself: physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. It’s a balanced lifestyle that takes you out of your comfort zone and guides you toward activity amongst nature. It’s feeling confident in your skin, taking care of your mind + body, and surrounding yourself with people, places, and activities that make you feel good from the inside out. Through this holistic health approach, I hope to inspire you to become the best version of YOURSELF- in all aspects of your life. I believe that all areas of our lives are interconnected, and finding and maintaining balance is a constant journey that we'll achieve together.
